Production has been confirmed, however, development has not yet begun as production of the fifth movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has only recently started. The release of the film is tentatively scheduled to occur in late 2008. In the press conference for the release of the movie adaptation of 哈利·波特与凤凰社, in October 2005, producer David Heyman said that Steve Kloves, though skipping the fifth movie, will come back as screenwriter for the sixth episode.
